Le Travail à l’honneur !
Le rendez-vous habituel du 1ᵉʳ jour du mois de mai consacre et célèbre le travail sous toutes ses formes. C’est l’occasion pour les travailleurs de réclamer une évolution de leurs conditions de travail, la dignité et la décence de celui-ci et de célébrer ce dernier. C’est en tout cas ce que nous rappelle le thème retenu cette année par la CSI-Afrique (Confédération Syndicale internationale), qui a choisi de célébrer le travail sur le thème : « Industrialisation, commerce et travail décent pour la justice sociale. » Pour cette importante manifestation festive, l’Office du Baccalauréat du Cameroun, sous l’impulsion de son Directeur Général M. Etienne Roger MINKOULOU n’a pas dérogé à la coutume.
Le mois de Mai à l’Office du Baccalauréat est décidément un mois charnière. En effet, ce mois marque le début effectif des examens, qui démarrent avec les épreuves d’éducation physique et sportive, les BP et les BEP de l’enseignement technique et notamment le Baccalauréat Général. Au début de ce mois chargé, les personnels de l’Office du Baccalauréat, tous rassemblé autour de son Directeur Général, célèbre le travail. Ce travail si important qui consiste chaque année sans faille ni échec à organiser les examens du second cycle en langue française. À l’entame de cette période faste, la célébration du travail a permis au personnel d’évacuer le stress tout en préparant les stratégies pour une session réussie. C’était d’ailleurs le maître-mot du discours de M. Etienne Roger MINKOULOU, Directeur Général de l’Office du Baccalauréat lors de son discours à la cérémonie organisée ce jeudi dans un hôtel de la place. Il demandait alors à tous ses collaborateurs d’être une ampoule et de briller tous ensemble pour une session d’examens 2025 sans failles. Pour renchérir ses propos, le directeur général a rappelé à chacun de mettre son expérience en jeu pour éclairer le chemin des autres en citant Confucius qui disait : « L’expérience est une lanterne accrochée dans le dos, qui n’éclaire que le chemin parcouru ». Après ces mots pleins de sagesse, le Directeur Général a ouvert les festivités avec une soirée de gala qui a clôturé une semaine bien chargée d’activités.
Le moins que l’on puisse dire est que la semaine a été chargée. Le board de l’Office du Baccalauréat du Cameroun n’a pas négligé l’événement bien trop souvent cantonné à la seule soirée de gala du 1er mai. Pour cet événement, le personnel de l’Office du Baccalauréat a assisté mercredi à deux causeries éducatives. La première causerie éducative a vu les experts de la Croix-Rouge se déplacer pour nous édifier sur les maladies liées au milieu professionnel. C’était l’occasion pour le personnel en charge de l’organisation des examens d’apprendre quelques gestes de secourisme d’urgence tels que la position latérale de sécurité, le massage cardiaque et le bouche-à-bouche. La seconde causerie éducative avait pour thème : « Déontologie du travail ». Nous avons été honorés de la présence des inspecteurs du travail du Ministère du Travail. Ces derniers ont rappelé le cadre juridique, insisté sur les relations de hiérarchie et le respect de celles-ci pour un environnement de travail paisible. Un accent particulier a été mis sur la prévention et les résolutions des conflits entre collègues et entre employé et employeur.
Après une semaine bien chargée par la célébration du travail, le train des examens de la session 2025 est bien lancé, et il est question pour le personnel de l’Office du Baccalauréat désormais de mettre en pratique tous les conseils, les enseignements reçus et, bien sûr, la joie accumulée pour un travail décent, une justice sociale et surtout une session d’examens 2025 sans failles.
